The nearest small town is the ancient commune of Nant some 6 km distant and some 25 km down the Dourbie Gorges is the large town of Millau. Beautiful and unique Cantobre is only 1 hour from the beaches of the Mediterranean and even closer to the spectacular Gorges of the river Tarn. Our holiday home, with its south facing terraces overlooking the Dourbie valley, are all located within the historic village and have been modernized sympathetically within the old village houses. La Canard is a semi-detached stone village house sleeping up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms. Le Canard is typical village houses. It offers great flexibility in numbers holidaying. The main house consists of a large dining sitting room with a built in kitchen and a wood burning stove and electric radiator heating. Polopos is a small village in the Alpujarras region of Andalucia, South from Granada. The village is set on 800m high hills,(altitude 2400 feet) about 6 miles from the sea (on a good winding road). As it is so high up, there are spectacular sea views, (on some exceptionally clear days in winter you can see the African coast), and there are massive hills, deep valleys, olive and almond trees, orange and lemon trees, vines and goats. You can walk over the hills down to the sea in about one and a half hours. The house is a restored traditional cottage-style house with wooden beams and terracotta tiled and wood laminate floors.
